When you upgrade the hard drive on your laptop don't throw away the old drive! This kit converts a 2.5-Inch notebook IDE hard drive (44 pin, no power connector) to be the same size as a 3.5-Inch (40 pin, with power connector) for desktop system.

You may also need Micro Jumper to set Mini HDD as a Slave IDE.
